M-Files attends the Legal Leaders USA 2023 event in Dallas, Texas
In early April, M-Files attended the Legal Leaders USA 2023 event in Dallas, Texas. The event brought together senior in-house lawyers, general counsels (GCs) and heads of legal operations to discuss the latest topics and trends affecting the corporate legal function.
These topics ranged from the myriad of ways legal departments are transforming how they operate and deliver services to addressing more specific issues such as cybersecurity and ESG. Speakers from some of world’s best-known brands discussed digital transformation – and the impact that creating a legal operations function was having on their organizations.
Our Industry Solutions Director for Legal, Marc May, moderated one of the panel events titled, “Doing more with less: Impossible dream or reasonable aspiration?”. Legal departments are often told to reduce outside counsel spending and bring work in-house, but with limited increases to their own budgets. The panel took a look at typical problems and solutions that come with adopting technology, as well as the challenges employing platforms that support a digital transformation.
The panel also discussed a few other relevant topics for the modern GC including the support that panel law firms could provide in-house teams beyond just traditional legal services, and the benefits of collecting and using the right legal data to allow organizations to make better business decisions.
M-Files also hosted a booth on both days of the conference, giving our experts the opportunity to talk with attendees and demonstrate M-Files’ capabilities in the legal space – in particular, to showcase the recent acquisition M-Files Ment, our no-code document automation solution, which is designed to maximize an organization’s internal efficiencies.
